6. Tim Hardaway bashes gays
In 2007, John Amaechi, who was a player in the NBA from 1995-to 2003, came to public about his homosexuality. Not a big deal, right? Not for the NBA player Tim Hardaway, who had a lot to say about it, including a homophobic speech. The player said: “you know, I disdain gay individuals, so I spread the word”.
Furthermore, he also said: “I could do without gay individuals, and I could do without associating with gay individuals. I’m homophobic. I could do without it. It ought not to be on the planet or in the US.”. This is the way he answered, and his picture and the NBA’s point of view of it might never recuperate from it.
